WA: Man stole car and baby, then abandoned them, court told
A West Australian court's been told a man who allegedly stole a car with an eight month-old
baby inside, abandoned the car before walking to a police station to answer bail on separate
charges.
Twenty-seven-year-old SCOTT ROBERT NEELY has appeared in Fremantle Magistrates Court
on charges of stealing a motor vehicle, driving while suspended and committing an act
likely to endanger the life of a child.
The theft of the the Holden Commodore from a service station in Fremantle around 3.20
pm (WST) yesterday sparked a desperate two-hour hunt for eight month-old TILLY ROWE.
The abandoned car, with TILLY inside, was found by a television news cameraman.
NEELY's been remanded in custody, and his bail application will be considered on Thursday.
