NT: Wife says truck driver seemed asleep in shower before crash

A coroner has heard that a truck driver appeared to be asleep in a shower 24-hours
before he fell asleep at the wheel of his semi-trailer and crashed.

COREY LEE MCCONVILLE was driving from his home in Darwin to Mt Isa in Queensland via
Kununurra in Western Australia when he crashed at 1.30am on September 26, 1999.

The 25-year-old's widow, MELINDA BROE, told NT Deputy Coroner ELIZABETH MORRIS she'd
been worried by her husband's condition when he came home from work after 1am the day
before the tragedy.
