QLD: Man detected speeding 70kmh over speed limit
A 28-year-old man's been clocked at more than 70 kmh over the speed limit .. before
leading police on a chase through Brisbane's northern suburbs.
A spokeswoman says officers chased the car after seeing it do 166 kmh in a 90 kmh zone
at Bracken Ridge .. shortly before 4 pm (AEST) yesterday.
The chase ended when the car slid down an embankment outside the Bracken Ridge High School.
The driver .. from Brighton on Brisbane's north coast .. was arrested.
He's been bailed to appear in the Sandgate Magistrates Court on May 8th on various
driving charges.
