NSW: "Serious" situation defused at Sydney police station
Police say a 39-year-old man's been detained without incident after a sensitive and
serious situation at Earlwood police station .. in the city's inner west.
Police say the man was arrested just after 5.00 o'clock .. but no details are being given.
They'd asked Sydney media not to report details of the incident, which began at about
2.20 (AEST) this afternoon.
Streets around the police station were cordoned off by police and officers wearing
bulletproof vests.
Police are expected to issue a statement soon.
